Tjodheim

Tjodheim
The story of this house says that it was built in 1917 and it was an apple and plum orchard. Records show payment of property tax til 1923. I have tried to find information in between but have not been successful. In 1971 this couple bought the house, which was, by then, divided into 2 apartments, one above and one below with a shared bathroom. By 1979, the couple sold it to a widower with 6 kids, who then turned it into a single unit house again.

Mormor's soverom

The tiniest bedroom in the house, I have been told by the previous owner that at some stage this house was a two-man bolig and that the smallest bedroom used to be a kitchen. Interesting. But the wallpaper is nasty and the carpet is horrendous and there is a closet with the door on the wrong side of the room! Thankfully my mother is the easiest person on earth and she does not mind. She has even said that she does not mind being the last person whose room is refurbished.  I still have not thought about any concrete plans for this little room, but one thing is for sure: that closet door must be facing inside.
